Punjab: The CIA staff of Moga police today claimed to have arrested seven members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and recovered five .32 bore pistols, seven magazines and six bullets of .32 bore pistol from them. Moga SSP Ajay Gandhi said that those arrested include Gobind Singh of Seon village in Patiala, Tejinder Singh alias Teju of Rauke Kalan village in Moga, Dilpreet Singh and Lovepreet Singh alias Labu of Nihal Singh Wala in Moga, Dilraj Singh alias Akasi of Lopoke in Moga, Kamaldeep Singh alias Kamal and Gurdeep Singh of Badhni Kalan in Moga. The SSP said that the suspects along with some others had formed a gang to extort money from people of the area. They were working in collaboration with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Gang member Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga Dhurkot is a resident of Dhurkot Ransih village in Moga. He currently lives abroad. He was using social media apps to call people in the area for ransom. If someone refused to pay the ransom, the local members of the gang would attack him with firearms to scare him. In this way, they used to force their victims to pay the money.
