Fakir found in train looted respect, arrested

Bilaspur. A minor girl was crying on the roadside in village Pauri near Ratanpur. Seeing her ever nervous, people informed the police.

The police arrived with the female staff and conducted a medical checkup of the victim and informed her family members. During interrogation, the victim told the female police officer that she was angry over some issue at home and had gone out and boarded a train going towards Katni. On the way he met a person who called himself a fakir. He dropped her off at Belgahna and took her home with him. His family members were also in the house. The next day he left taking the victim with him.

He took her to the forest where the accused Fakir raped her. When the minor started crying, he left her in the forest and ran away. Even the bread seems to have somehow reached the minor roadside. After investigation, the police arrested the accused Fakir Momid Sha Gopal Khadiya in Belgahna. An offense has been registered against the accused under POCSO Act and IPC 363, 377. The court has sent him to jail on judicial remand.
