Fake Police DSP nabbed in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A fake Police DSP has been nabbed by Saheed Nagar Police in the capital city of Odisha yesterday night. He was has allegedly defrauded many innocent people by giving false identity as a DSP. Police uniform, fake currency notes and fake appointment letters seized from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Manas Ranjan Senapati.

As per reports, yesterday night when Police personnel were doing night blocking checking they detained a youth after observing suspicious activities. As they dug in the matter, it was found that the youth has defrauded many job aspirants by giving them false assurance posing himself as the Deputy Superintendent of Police.

It has also been learned that he used to exhibit a fake Identity card to gain trust of the job seekers as a top cop.

The accused was nabbed by Police yesterday night. He is in custody now in Saheed Nagar Police Station.

The accused is from Basudevpur area of Bhadrak district. He was living in Madhusudan Nagar under Kharvel Nagar police station area in Bhubaneswar.

Police uniform, fake appointment letter, fake currency notes of Rs 2 lakh face value, fake police ID card, car and mobile phone have been seized from his possession.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
