UP. In Lucknow, a fake chartered accountant befriended a girl through social media. He also rented the girl’s house. After which, the accused called the girl to his house on the pretext of giving her the keys, made her drink an intoxicating cold drink and raped her and recorded the video. When the victim protested after regaining consciousness, the accused threatened to make the video viral and extorted about five lakh rupees from her. Making this allegation, the girl filed a case in PGI police station on Monday. On the basis of which the accused was arrested.
The girl, a resident of Telibagh, had created a profile on Tinder dating app. Through which she got in touch with Ankit Pandey, a resident of Ayodhya Saketpuri. During chatting, Ankit gave his WhatsApp number and proposed marriage. According to the victim, Ankit claimed to be a chartered accountant and did share trading. To gain trust, he also sent the chartered accountant’s certificate on the girl’s WhatsApp. The girl rejected Ankit’s proposal. Even after which the accused kept sending WhatsApp messages. Some time ago, Ankit reached the girl’s house in Telibagh. Where the girl’s mother was also present with her.
According to the victim, while coming home, Ankit told her that his house is being repaired. So give your house on rent. On Ankit’s request, the girl’s mother had given the house in Vrindavan Colony on rent. On October 21, Ankit called the girl and asked her to take the key of the room in Telibagh. According to the victim, on reaching home, Ankit gave her a cold drink to drink. After which the accused raped the girl. When the girl protested, the accused threatened to make the video and photos viral.
The victim told the police that Ankit had made videos and photos. He started blackmailing her by threatening to make them viral. The accused also extorted about five lakh sixty-one thousand rupees. Meanwhile, the girl came to know that Ankit has blackmailed many girls before. He is not even a chartered accountant. When the truth came out, the victim informed her mother. Inspector Ravi Shankar Tripathi said that the girl had filed a case on Monday. After which Ankit Pandey, resident of Ayodhya Saketpuri, was arrested.
