Delhi. Delhi Police has arrested two accused while revealing the case of theft of gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh. Police has also recovered the stolen jewellery from them. The incident took place on January 22 in a house located in Anand Parvat area.
According to the agency, Delhi Police started searching for the suspects during the investigation of the theft case and on January 26, two accused 23-year-old Arjun and 40-year-old Dinesh were caught. During interrogation, a gold chain was recovered from Arjun. At the same time, the second accused Dinesh gave information to the police about the bike in which the rest of the jewellery was hidden.
When the police interrogated both of them, both the accused revealed that they had conspired for this theft along with their partner Prashant. Prashant is a factory owner and was also a childhood friend of the victim. Police say that Prashant had complete information about the victim’s house. At present, the police is searching for Prashant, who is still absconding. Police officials say that the accused will be arrested soon. The police is also investigating whether these accused have committed any such crime before. In this case, action is being taken by registering a case against both the arrested accused under the relevant sections. The police hope that after Prashant’s arrest, more important information related to this theft may come to light.
