Bengaluru: At least five people were injured in an explosion at a cafe in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar area on Friday. According to police, the blast took place at Rameshwaram Cafe and three of the five people were seriously injured.
Sources said officials have ruled out the explosion being caused by an LPG cylinder. Earlier there was a suspicion that there had been a blast in the cylinder. Police and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) officials have sealed the area.
Sources said police recovered a bag containing batteries from the spot. Besides, the police have also found the ID card of a female bank officer. The officer has been injured. The blast occurred around 1.15 pm when a large number of people were present at the hotel for lunch.
