Dhenkanal: Odisha Vigilance nabbed Dhenkanal Excise Superintendent Krishna Nayak while she was carrying Rs 3 lakhs suspected ill-gotten cash on Tuesday.
Based on credible inputs regarding collection of suspected ill-gotten cash by Krishna Nayak, a team of Odisha Vigilance intercepted her at Deulasahi Road in Dhenkanal while she was proceeding in a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration OD-02-CZ-7044.
During interception, a cash of Rs 3 Lakh was found in her possession. As Nayak could not give satisfactory reply for the possession of such huge cash, the amount was recovered from her possession and seized along with the above vehicle.
Following the interception, search is being carried out at five locations connected to Nayak from DA angle. She is being examined to ascertain the source of funds.
