Bilaspur. An engineering student from UP died on Friday in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. She had gone out for a bike ride with her friend. During this, the truck hit the bike and went away crushing the student who had fallen on the road. The accident happened in Koni police station area. According to the information, the police received information at around 4 am that a truck had hit the bike from the front near Sendri on the National Highway. A girl has died and a young man is seriously injured in the accident.When the police reached the spot, the driver had left the truck and ran away.
The police admitted the injured youth to the hospital and sent the body for postmortem. The boy and girl were identified from the registration number of the bike and the ID card found with them. Both are B.Tech students of Guru Ghasidas University and lived in the hostel. Student Selfer Shetty is a resident of Visakhapatnam and student Shailja Singh was a resident of Madhavgarh in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The police have informed the families of both. Police station in-charge Gopal Satpathy said that postmortem of the body will be conducted after the arrival of the family members.
