Surajpur. A case of death of an elephant has again come to light in the district. According to the Forest Department, the elephant did not die naturally but was electrocuted.
Not only this, but to cover up their misdeeds, the accused first divided the elephant’s carcass into pieces and then hid it. The entire shocking incident is being reported from Ramkola forest area. There is a stir in the forest department after the killing of the elephant.
At present two accused have been detained in this case. Action is being taken against both of them under Forest Acts. On the other hand, action has been started to recover the elephant’s dead body. The forest department is busy investigating for what purpose the elephant was killed and whether its body parts are safe.
