Mumbai (IANS) | TV queen Ekta Kapoor talks about her show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ which has completed 9 years. The show started in 2014 with Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia. He expressed his gratitude for the support of his team and the audience. Ekta said: We started our journey with Abhi and Pragya in 2014 and now we have completed 9 years. It’s funny. It still feels like yesterday when we started shooting for the show and now that it has completed 9 years, the credit goes to the actors, directors, writers, creators and each and every member of the team who worked tirelessly for 24 hours We work so that we can entertain our audience. I would like to specially thank our viewers for always showering their love on us.
It was not only a moment of celebration for them, but Krishna Kaul and Mugdha Chapekar are also very happy with the success of their show.
To be honest, it is really amazing to be a part of such an achievement, said Krishna who plays Ranbir. I would like to thank all my co-stars including my crew, Shabbir sir and Sriti ma’am. I thank Ekta ma’am for giving me this opportunity.
He added: We work really hard every day to earn the love and support of all our viewers, and when it finally happens, nothing seems more valuable. I am sure our writers are up with twists and turns in the upcoming episodes that will keep everyone glued to their TVs.
Mugdha who will be seen as Prachi in the show shared that she feels lucky to be a part of the show and said that she is grateful to Ekta ma’am for giving her an opportunity to be a part of the show.
She said, I feel blessed to be a part of such a beautiful show. It is the vision of Ekta ma’am and the dedication of the team that has made the show one of the best on television. Our fans have been deeply attached to the story and connected to our characters, they have showered us with love and we promise to entertain them.
Ekta R Kapoor’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was launched on 15 April 2014. The concept of the show is originally based on Jane Austen’s novel ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia played the lead roles from 2014 to 2021. Currently, the story focuses on the next generation with Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul in the lead roles.
The story which started with the married life of Pragya (Sriti) and Abhi (Shabbir) and their children has now reached another level with new characters becoming prominent.
