Tamil Nadu : Due to the ongoing renovation work at Egmore Railway Station, the Egmore-Puducherry MEMU train will run from Coast till August 4.

The MEMU train (number: 66051/66052) is running daily between Egmore-Puducherry. Due to the ongoing renovation work at Egmore Railway Station, the MEMU train leaving Puducherry at 4 pm and reaching Egmore at 8.35 pm will reach Coast at 8.50 pm instead of Egmore till August 3.
In the opposite direction, the train leaving Egmore at 6.35 am daily and reaching Puducherry at 10.40 am will leave Coast at 6.25 am till August 4.
Since this train runs on the same track as Coast-Egmore Express trains in both directions, it will not stop at Egmore Railway Station. However, it will make additional halts at Park and Fort railway stations for the convenience of passengers.
Partial cancellation: From June 19 to August 17, the following trains arriving at Egmore: Kollam Express (No. 16102), Madurai Tejas Express (No. 22672), Mannargudi Mannai Express (No. 16108), Tiruchendur Super Express (No. 20606), Guruvayur Express (No. 16128) will be halted at Tambaram.
On the other hand, from June 20 to August 18, express and superfast trains from Egmore to Kollam (No. 16101), Madurai (No. 22671), Mannargudi (No. 16107), Tiruchendur (No. 20605) and Guruvayur (No. 16128) will run via Tambaram instead of Egmore.
Train extension: The weekly special express train (No. 07355) running from Hubli to Ramanathapuram every Saturday at 6.50 am has been extended from 5 July to 26 July, and the reverse special train (No. 07356) running from Ramanathapuram to Hubli every Sunday at 7.40 pm has been extended from 6 July to 27 July.
This train will reach Ramanathapuram via Hubli, Harihar, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy, Pudukkottai, Karaikudi, Sivaganga and Manamadurai. It is being told that booking for this train has started.
