Effective initiative for road construction after 75 years of independence

Raipur. Under the able and sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the work of construction of paved roads has started in the Naxal-affected remote forest areas of Mainpur development block of Gariaband district. Rs 3.02 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a 4.7 km long road from Dumrpadav to Jagda on National Highway 130C. The villagers, who have been demanding a road for decades, have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for this historic initiative. Thousands of people from a dozen villages in the area were deprived of transportation and health facilities due to the lack of this road. Now the construction of this road has raised hopes of a positive change in their lives.

The villagers say that this is the first time after 75 years of independence that their demand for road construction has been seriously considered. Sarpanch Mithula Bai Netam of Gram Panchayat Jagda, Deputy Sarpanch Bhanu Pratap Sinha and other villagers said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has done a great job for the benefit of the villagers by fulfilling their years old demand. The villagers said that Chief Minister Shri Sai has shown sensitivity towards our problem and has taken immediate initiative to solve it.

It is noteworthy that villages like Payalikhand and Jangra, 40 km away from Mainpur development block headquarters of Gariaband district, are now going to be connected with a paved road. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s government has approved this road construction work from the Special Central Assistance Fund. The road will not only facilitate movement, but the villagers will also be able to get the benefits of facilities like health, education and electricity. This road is being built under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The road construction work under construction at a cost of Rs 3.02 crore is expected to be completed soon.

There is great enthusiasm among the villagers of the area due to the start of the paved road construction work. The people of Jangra and surrounding villages described this initiative as historic and said that it is the result of good governance and visionary leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. The villagers said that this road will pave the way for development and progress for them. The villagers said that the good governance and sensitivity of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has ensured the reach of development to inaccessible areas. Through this road construction, not only have the villagers got relief, but the path to improving their standard of living has also been paved.
