ED raids six locations in Ranchi land forgery

Ranchi (IANS) | Apart from army land in Ranchi, many more influential people have come under the scanner of ED investigation in the case of sale of many plots on the basis of fake documents. ED teams have started raiding half a dozen locations of four people including contractor Bipin Singh in Ranchi on Wednesday. Apart from Ranchi’s Khelgaon, Morhabadi, Ashok Nagar and Booti Mod, raids are also going on at two places in Jamshedpur. In this case, on April 13, hundreds of land deeds, documents and fake papers were recovered during raids at 21 locations of 18 people including IAS Chhavi Ranjan. Seven people were arrested in this fraud. IAS Chhavi Ranjan was interrogated by the ED for ten and a half hours on April 24. He has again been called for questioning on May 1.

Sources said that contractor Bipin was tracked by the Enforcement Directorate in Noida. After this the team of Enforcement Directorate reached his house in Ranchi. But he had received prior notice of the Enforcement Directorate’s raid, so at 6:30 in the morning the whole family left the house along with their belongings.

After this, the Enforcement Directorate called Prabhat Pandey, the owner of flat number 402 at Morhabadi and sealed it. Here Bipin has been asked to report at the office of the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi. The case pertains to wrongful transfer of land. The Enforcement Directorate is taking action in this matter. Bipin is said to have played the role of a middleman in the case of wrongful transfer of land.

The Enforcement Directorate team is also raiding the residence of Shekhar Kushwaha, a land broker at Gadigaon in Ranchi. In this case, two days ago, the Enforcement Directorate team raided the house of CM House employee Uday Shankar.
