EAM presented the Best Disabled Girl Award to winner Fatima Anshi

Thiruvananthapuram: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar presented the Best Disabled Girl Award to winner Fatima Anshi in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Saturday.

‘Best Divyang Balika’ is an annual award aimed at empowering persons with disabilities. Meanwhile, winner Fatima Anshi talked about her journey. He also talked about the challenges he had to overcome.

“Growing up, I had a lot of challenges that I had to overcome, given the fact that I was visually impaired. Many times I was told that I could not do anything and that I could only be limited to certain aspects of life.

There have been times when I have been left out of various opportunities. But it actually served as a kind of driving force that pushed me to prove that my disabilities don’t define me. Anshi said, this is not who I am and I have a lot more to offer the world.
She further added, “Ever since I was a child, I started working on it. I was able to win different competitions and I was able to explore myself more. I was able to gain knowledge with the different resources I had access to.” I have grown up young at heart with big dreams and aspirations and step by step I am trying to get closer to all the dreams, one of which is to become an IFS officer.”

Praising External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, Fatima Anshi said, “As a youth, I really wanted to be a part of the community that strengthens India’s ties with different parts of the world. I am truly honored to be present on the same occasion with Jaishankar Sir. I want to tell him how much he inspires us.”

Earlier today, S Jaishankar addressed the ‘Developing India Sankalp Yatra’ in Thiruvananthapuram. Today, ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ is something that is believed not only in the country but also in the world. ‘Modi’s guarantee’ means good governance and people-centric policies.

This means that if someone is in trouble abroad, whether it is someone going to Saudi Arabia or UAE or a student in Ukraine, PM Modi is there for them. The Union Minister said, this is a big difference that has happened in the last 10 years.

Speaking on the public welfare schemes of the central government, Jaishankar said, “Over these ten years, I have had the privilege of working very closely with the Prime Minister as his cabinet member. These have also been very difficult years. During COVID, we sat together and discussed how to respond to it. In fact, I have seen many plans from the beginning, the results of which we are seeing today. I have seen this from the first meeting, when someone raised concerns. But ‘Modi is Modi’, he tries to find a solution.”

“Every need has been addressed in some way or the other in the last ten years,” he said. If you have health related problems, there is ‘Jan Arogya Yojana’. For those who want to start their own business but lack resources, there is ‘Mudra Yojana’.” ,

The resolution of ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ is to develop India in every way by 2047. Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being conducted across the country with the aim of achieving saturation of major schemes of the government by ensuring the benefits of these schemes. Reach all targeted beneficiaries in a timely manner.
