Raipur: Police has become strict on drivers who park e-rickshaws anywhere on busy roads of the city. FIR has been registered against three e-rickshaw drivers in Malviya Road in a single day. Their e-rickshaws have also been confiscated. Auto drivers have also protested against filing FIR directly against drivers. Traffic department has collected fine from more than 300 such auto drivers in a single day. According to the information received from Golbazar police station, drivers Rahul Khiladi, Rajesh Yadav and Ramakant Sahu had blocked the traffic by parking their e-rickshaws on Malviya Road in front of the police station. Even after the persuasion of the policemen, they were not removing the rickshaws. Therefore, their e-rickshaws have been confiscated and FIR has been registered against all three. Traffic department officials say that in most places in the city, e-rickshaw and passenger auto drivers are driving recklessly. If such auto drivers are found again after continuous checking, strict action will be taken against them.
