Durg police launched special campaign against drivers
Durg. The traffic police has taken swift action against those driving under the influence of alcohol and collected a fine of Rs 7 lakh 20 thousand. In 18 days, the police caught 72 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol and took action. On the instructions of SP Jitendra Shukla, a campaign is going on against those driving without helmet and under the influence of alcohol. Traffic DSP Satish Thakur said that action was taken against 14 drivers on Saturday. In the last 18 days, 72 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol late at night. Action was taken against him under section 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act. On the orders of the court, a fine of Rs 10,000 was collected from a vehicle. In this way, a fine of Rs 7 lakh 20 thousand was collected from 72 vehicles. Action is being taken to suspend the license of the driver concerned. The traffic police is running a special campaign to control drunken driving.
