Mohla. The Hidko couple, resident of village Ektakanhar of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district, has got a means of regular income from the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Karyakram. It is worth noting that with the support of the district administration, Ajit Hidko, resident of Ektakanhar and his wife Usha Hidko started poultry business with 100 chicks. Now this business has increased to one thousand chicks per month. Due to this, the Hidko couple is earning 20 to 40 thousand rupees per month. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the Hidko family.

Ajit Hidko and his wife Usha Hidko, resident of village Ektakanhar of development block Mohla, told that they started poultry business by taking a loan of Rs 5 lakh from the bank under the central government scheme Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Karyakram, in which they received a subsidy of 35 percent, which gave them a lot of relief. Earlier they used to work as agricultural labourers at others’ places, due to which they used to get very little income. But this couple, struggling with financial crisis, never gave up and thought of doing something new in the village itself and started the business of poultry farming. Today, the hard work, determination and foresight of the Hidko couple has made their family financially self-dependent.

Usha Hidko told that she along with her husband started poultry farming with only 100 local chicks from a small room of a mud house. As a result of regular efforts, training and hard work, today they are producing about one thousand chickens per month. Due to which they are earning from 20 to 40 thousand. Her husband got technical information by taking training from Kamdhenu University Durg Anjora, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and other seminars, due to which he got a lot of support and benefit in the business. Today his whole family is happy. He has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai.

Collector Tulika Prajapati observed the works of the poultry farm run by Hidko and congratulated Ajit and Usha Hidko for the successful poultry business and assured them of all possible help from the district administration. Usha Hidko told that she herself is also working as a Pashu Sakhi by joining Bihaan, due to which her income has also increased.
