Cuttack: In a spine-shivering incident, a drunk couple reportedly killed their infant son under the influence of alcohol and later buried his body to avoid getting caught in Byaghrabahini munda area of Choudwar in Cuttack district on Tuesday.
According to the information, the man came to his house along with his friends at night. Later they were joined by the man’s wife and all of them consumed alcohol. In the inebriated condition they went to sleep and mistakenly one of the parents slept on the child under the influence of alcohol.
The drunk couple allegedly killed their infant son who was only 6-months-old after consuming liquor alleged the neighbours. However, the parents of the infant refuted the matter and instead excused by saying that the infant had viral fever and other heart related disease. On being questioned if the man had consumed alcohol he said,” yes I had consumed but I was not sleeping, I was wide awake last night.”
In the morning when they woke up around 4:00 am on seeing their infant dead, they immediately buried him alleged the neighbours. The neighbours however believe that the drunk coupled killed their son.
