Dhamtari. Drugs have been seized from a Honda City car and 3 smugglers have been arrested with knives and country-made pistols. Kurud Police received information from an informer through mobile that three persons are selling narcotic drugs illegally by keeping them in a Honda City Car No. CG 04 AH 6401 near the new agricultural product market. On this information, the Kurud Police team immediately reached the place mentioned by the informer, surrounded the place and arrested the accused Tikendra Sahu alias Tillu father Laxmiram Sahu, age 18 years 11 months, 02. Jaiprakash alias Golu father Laxmiram Sahu, Ugra, 23 years, resident of Indira Nagar Kurud, 03. Gulshan Sahu father Omprakash Sahu, age 18 years 01 month, resident of Kuhkuha, police station Kurud, district Dhamtari, and after due legal proceedings, recovered 36 capsules SPASMOPROXYVON PLUS from the possession of the three accused Tikendra Sahu alias Tillu, Jaiprakash alias Golu, Gulshan, total 288 narcotic capsules worth Rs. 3196/- and the used car Honda City worth Rs. 2,00,000/-, 01 piece of country made pistol, 05 pieces of cartridges worth Rs. 35000/-, 02 pieces of knife worth Rs. 700/-, 03 pieces of Ishtemali Vivo mobile worth Rs. 25000/-, cash amount Rs. 1420/- total Rs. 2,65,316/- were seized from the possession of the accused in front of witnesses and after due proceedings the capsule was sealed.
A case has been registered against the accused in Kurud police station under FIR No. 44/25 Section 22 (b) Narcotics Act and Section 25 Arms Act. All the three accused have been duly arrested and sent on judicial remand.
