Raipur. Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Devendra Nagar police station was searching for customers for illegally selling banned drug syrup Codeine near Pandari Old Bus Stand under Police Station Devendra Nagar area.
Accused Mohammad Ahmed, father Ali Mohammad, age 22. Sal resident Nizami Chowk Sanjay Nagar police station Tikrapara Raipur and Domar alias Pintu father Kheduram Pal aged 24 years resident Haji Gali Sanjay Nagar Bakra Market police station Tikrapara Raipur were arrested and a total of 120 vials of banned intoxicating syrup codeine worth about Rs 25,000/- were seized from their possession and incident.
An offense under section 11/24 section 21(c) of the Narcotic Act was registered against the accused in Devendra Nagar police station by seizing 01 Activa vehicle related to the case.
During the investigation in the case, when the arrested accused were strictly interrogated regarding the supply chain of the banned drug syrup Codeine, the accused were told to purchase the syrup from a person named Kamlesh Upadhyay, a resident of Nagpur (Maharashtra) and send the syrup from Nagpur to Raipur. . On which the team members started locating Kamlesh Upadhyay, resident of Nagpur (Maharashtra).
While the team members were locating the accused through technical analysis and other means, it was found that the presence of the accused was in Nagpur (Maharashtra), under the direction of senior officers, Anti Crime and Cyber Unit under the leadership of Sub Inspector Satish Puriya of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and A 4-member team of Devendra Nagar Police was sent to Nagpur (Maharashtra).
After reaching Nagpur (Maharashtra) and locating the accused, the team members conducted a raid at the residence of accused Kamlesh Upadhyay, caught the accused and interrogated him. He was told to supply the syrup on demand basis to many other states including Raipur. On searching the house of accused Kamlesh Upadhyay, illegal storage of banned drug syrup Codeine was found in his house.
Accused Kamlesh Upadhyay was arrested and action was taken by taking transit remand of the accused and bringing him to Raipur by seizing 23 boxes totaling 2760 pieces of banned intoxicating syrup codeine worth about Rs 5,50,000/- from his possession.
Crime number 17/24 Section 21, 22 Narcotics Act against accused Kamlesh Upadhyay in Police Station Ganj, Crime Number 11/24 Section 21(C) Narcotic Act 120B Bhadvi in Police Station Devendra Nagar. And the offense of 14/24 Section 21(C) Narcotic Act is registered.
Arrested accused – Kamlesh Upadhyay, father Ramraj Upadhyay, age 39 years, resident of Shyam Bhawan, Itwari Mohalla, District Nagpur (Maharashtra).
