Balrampur. A farmer couple has donated five acres of land for the construction of a public temple in village Rajendrapur under Kusmi development block of the district. On Wednesday, in the presence of the villagers, prayers were offered as per the rituals for the construction of the Shiva temple. The service spirit of the farmer couple is being appreciated.
Farmer couple Somra – Mulpati Nagesia, residents of Rajendrapur in Samari area, wanted to build a Shiva temple on their land, and they used to often discuss it with the villagers. When the villagers came to know about this, they discussed with the farmer couple. The farmer couple conveyed their feelings to him. The villagers also decided that a Shiva temple would be built on the land of the farmer couple.
Then the farmer couple donated their five acres of land for the construction of the temple. In rural areas, there are frequent reports of disputes over land and property. Even relatives become enemies of each other. This decision of the farmer couple is inspiring in such difficult times when the case goes on in the court for years. The village people are appreciating his decision. People say that the couple has given a new message to the society. People living in nearby villages including Rajendrapur are appreciating the thinking of the farmer couple. Samari and its adjoining Rajendrapur area are known for bauxite mines. The land here is valuable. Without any attachment to the land, the couple took the initiative to build a public Shiva temple.
