Jammu and Kashmir: Police on Thursday caught two drug smugglers in Gandoh area of Doda and recovered 900 grams of hashish-like substance from their possession.
Giving information, Doda police said that a police party from Gandoh was on patrolling duty when they saw two people coming on foot, who tried to run away after seeing the police. “The police team took prompt action and caught both the persons. After initial questioning, they revealed their names as Sardar Mohammad and Hoshiar Singh, residents of Seru in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh,” said an officer.
During the search, about 900 grams of hashish-like substance wrapped in polythene was recovered from their possession. A case has been registered in Gandoh and investigation has been started.
