Chief Minister M.K. Stalin made this statement today while releasing the DMK’s election promises at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai. Edappadi Palaniswami had announced in his election manifesto that if the AIADMK forms the government, free refrigerators will be provided to rice ration card holders.
Meanwhile, the DMK has announced an ₹8,000 coupon scheme to attract housewives. According to this, a coupon worth ₹8,000 will be given for the purchase of refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, grinders, microwave ovens, etc.
M.K. Stalin stated that a new scheme called Iltraasi will be implemented to help housewives purchase new or replacement household appliances. Important DMK Promises
The Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme will be extended to the 8th grade, benefiting 1.5 million more students studying in grades 1-5.
Women’s entitlement amount will be increased to ₹100,000. A classical language conference will be held in Chennai.
The Chief Minister’s Insurance Scheme will be increased to ₹10 lakh.
Women’s self-help groups will be given ₹5 lakh without any guarantee to start a business. Disaster compensation will be increased to ₹25,000 per hectare.
Dialysis facilities will be doubled.
Sports hostels will be built in all districts. Old-age pension will be increased from ₹1,200 to ₹2,000.
Allowance for the differently abled will be increased to ₹2,5000.
The procurement price of milk will be increased by ₹5 per liter. New sub-cities will be established in Trichy, Madurai, and Coimbatore.
