Tamil Nadu: The DMK’s 12th State Convention is scheduled to be held on Monday (March 9) in Sirukanur, Trichy district.
The ruling DMK party has intensified its election campaign ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. As part of this, the State Convention will be held in Sirukanur, Trichy, on Monday evening. DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will preside over the convention and deliver a speech after hoisting the party flag. Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin will be the chief guest.
DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan and Treasurer D.R. Baalu will deliver special addresses. Principal Secretary K.N. Nehru will welcome the guests. A large number of party executives will participate. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin may make important announcements at the convention. For security reasons, drone flying has been banned in Trichy district on Monday as Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is scheduled to visit the district to participate in various events. District Collector V. Saravanan has said that legal action will be taken against those who fly drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles in violation of the ban.
