Tamil Nadu: Party functionaries from North Tamil Nadu—including Minister Durai Murugan—participated in the fourth day of the candidate orientation program held at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai. The event was led by DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
Regarding the contest for the Polur constituency in the Tiruvannamalai district, 130 individuals had submitted their nomination papers at the party headquarters in support of Kamban, the son of Minister E.V. Velu. In light of this situation, 73 individuals attended a meeting held on Friday to express their support for Kamban; they unanimously requested Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to grant Kamban the opportunity to contest. In the evening, functionaries from various party districts—including Dharmapuri East, Dharmapuri West, Salem Central, Salem East, Salem West, Kallakurichi North, and Kallakurichi South—participated in this review session.
Ministers Durai Murugan, E.V. Velu, Rajendran, Gandhi, and others also took part in this review process.
