Dausa: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a district level function was organized by the District Administration and Women Empowerment Department on the theme “Respecting Women – Leading our Rajasthan” at Rawat Palace under the chief hospitality of Additional District Collector Sumitra Pareek.
Addressing the women present in the program, Additional District Collector Sumitra Pareek said that daughters should dream high and work hard continuously to achieve it. He said that in today’s time, new records are being set by daughters in every field, taking inspiration from them other daughters and women should also move forward. He appreciated the initiative taken by daughters and women to share the difficult experiences of their lives. Additional District Collector administered oath to everyone to maintain the dignity of democratic traditions and to vote.
Voter awareness program and voting oath organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day
In the district level function organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Deputy Director of Women Empowerment Department, Rishiraj Singhal inspired all the women to vote on the theme “Respect women, let’s all vote. Leave all work, vote first”. . District Coordinator of SVEEP Mahesh Acharya told the women present about the importance of voting rights. She said that all the women present in the program must cast their vote and take an oath that they will inspire at least ten other women to vote. He described the role of voting rights as important in women empowerment.
Various activities were organized in the program
In the district level function, the birthday of the girls was celebrated festively by cutting the cake and sweets were distributed to the girls. In the program, the guests were honored by the guests who got first place in the board examinations in the district, Anganwadi workers, Sahikao, Sathins and other women workers who did remarkable work in women empowerment schemes. Song-music and drama presentations were given by the girls on the theme of women empowerment. In the ceremony, Additional District Collector Sumitra Pareek flagged off the public awareness chariot under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme. Voter awareness through the awareness chariot, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, improvement in child sex ratio, promotion of girl education, girl safety and Awareness programs will be organized from village to village on topics like empowerment, ensuring nutrition and preventing women oppression etc.
