Rajnandgaon. In Chanwargaon of Madanwada area of Mohla-Manpur district, a mother of six children was murdered by her husband under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place on the evening of January 9 when the couple was returning home from the weekly market in Kohka.
Due to a minor dispute, the husband beat his wife to death with a stick and punches. Three days after the incident, the police arrested the husband on charges of murder.
According to the information received, Biruram Gota and his wife Rasobai Gota, residents of Chanwargaon, Madanwada, had gone to the weekly market of Kohka. Both of them consumed Mahua liquor there. During the return, there was a fight between the two over some issue.
Amidst the dispute, a drunk Biruram beat his wife with a stick. Rasobai died in a beating incident near Ranwahi village. After this incident, somehow the accused reached home with his wife. By then he had died. On January 9, the deceased’s brother Rajendra Kumeti informed the police that his sister was lying dead in his house.
