Dispute arose over talking on mobile, fight took bloody turn
Balod. Revealing the murder of a youth in Doundi police station area, police has arrested three accused and sent them to jail. This incident happened near the dam in village Amadula. Three friends killed their friend after a dispute.
SP Yogesh Patel said, Manoj Bariha, Rupendra Kumar Salam, Rituraj Markam have confessed to the crime during police interrogation. The accused told that Preetram Gota asked them to leave the net near the dam while talking about fishing in the dam. On this, Rituraj Markam, Manoj Bariha, Rupendra Salam, Preetram Gota, all four went towards the dam on a bike. Manoj Bariha was talking to someone on Rupendra Salam’s mobile phone in Mansharam’s Bharri field before the dam, to whom Rupendra Salam asked for the mobile by asking whom are you talking to. On this, Rupendra Salam, Manoj Bariha, and Preetram Gota started fighting with each other. Seeing the fight, Rituraj Markam tried to intervene and punched Manoj Bariha and Preetram Gota, which angered Pritram Gota and he started punching Rituraj Markam. Seeing this, Manoj Bariha, Rupendra Salam, and Rituraj beat up Preetram Gota unanimously. Rituraj Markam, due to an old rivalry, hit Preetram Gota’s jaw with a piece of wood lying nearby, due to which Preetram Gota sat down on the ground. Then Rituraj Markam brought a nearby stone and attacked Preetram Gota’s face, seeing which Manoj and Rupendra ran away. Rituraj killed Preetram and went to his home. The police arrested all the three accused within 24 hours and sent them to jail on judicial remand.
