Seoul: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called on his country’s forces to intensify war exercises, keeping in mind the joint military exercises of South Korea and America. This information was given by North Korea’s state media. During a visit to a military base in the country’s western region on Wednesday, Kim inspected training facilities and called on troops to step up maneuvers, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said. “They made suggestions to intensify practical real-war exercises to ensure victory in the war,” KCNA said.
According to KCNA, Kim directed the army to intensify exercises to improve its capabilities in view of the capabilities of the enemies. Kim’s visit came two days after South Korea and the United States began their annual Freedom Shield exercises on Monday. According to the Yonhap news agency report, North Korea has condemned the joint exercise and warned that South Korea and America will have to pay a heavy price for it.
