Kantabanji: An outbreak of diarrhea has spread in Kantabanji area of Odisha’s Balangir district, credible reports said on Monday. According to sources, diarrhea has been reported in Kantabanji following a serious outbreak of cholera in Rourkela. Two people have died due to diarrhea and more than six have been hospitalized.
Both the deceased, hailing from Pudapadar and Malibahal, have been identified as Meera Sahu and Satish Majhi. Mira was admitted to the medical center yesterday after suffering from severe diarrhoea.
Local people have complained that diarrhea is spreading in various villages of Kantabanji area. It was revealed that two children were also among the victims. Further detailed report is awaited.
