Dhurandhar Premiere Controversy: Shows Cancelled in the South, Fans Disappointed

Entertainment: Excitement is mounting across the country regarding the paid premiere shows of the Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge; however, fans in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana have met with disappointment, as shows scheduled in their respective regional languages were cancelled just hours before the scheduled start time.

Exhibitors have confirmed that the original Hindi version of the film will now be screened in place of the shows originally scheduled in these regional languages. Furthermore, the process of refunding tickets to those who had already purchased them has been initiated. They also stated that paid premiere shows in Hindi would now be held in place of the cancelled screenings, and they offered their apologies for the inconvenience caused.

According to reports, this delay was caused by logistical hurdles in delivering the film’s content to the cinema halls. The Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2 was delivered to theaters across the country just one hour before the premieres were set to begin, while the subtitle and dubbing packages for the Tamil and Telugu versions have yet to arrive. Due to the incomplete status of the dubbing and post-production work, it was not possible to screen the film in the regional languages, necessitating the last-minute cancellation of the shows.

In Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh reprises his role as the Indian spy, Jaskirat Singh Rangi. He goes undercover to conduct espionage in Lyari—a district in Pakistan notorious for its gang wars. There, he assumes the guise of Hamza Ali Mazari, delivering a powerful and action-packed performance.
