Tamil Nadu: Director General of Police (DGP) Sandeep Roy Rathore has issued a major order, stating that Tamil Nadu police officers should only obey the orders of their superiors and not violate the hierarchy.
Sandip Roy Rathore, who recently assumed the position of Director General of Tamil Nadu Police, is paying special attention to the security of the assembly elections and the campaigns of important leaders.
In this regard, he is continuously interacting with IGs, Sector DIGs, and District Superintendents of Police via video conferencing regarding the security of the assembly elections. He has issued several orders and instructions to police officers.
It is important that police officers should only obey the orders of their superiors and not violate the hierarchy.
Unnecessary interference should be avoided. Do not heed any orders or advice from outside officials or officers from other departments that are beyond their jurisdiction. However, they should provide me with the necessary information.
Otherwise, it’s crucial to inform your senior officer. Sandeep Rai Rathore stated that if there are any issues with the information, you can inform him via mobile text message.
Furthermore, during elections, they should work without political interference or bias. They should ensure fair and free elections. He also stated that it is the police’s duty to provide full security to leaders involved in election campaigns.
