Mahashivratri festival is being celebrated with great pomp across the country on 8th March. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees of Bhole regarding the Maha Shivratri festival. To celebrate Bhole, people are coming from Haridwar and Rishikesh with Ganga water carrying Kanwad on their shoulders, with which they will anoint Bhole with Ganga water on Maha Shivratri festival.
Many people cannot go to Haridwar and want to offer Ganga water to Bhole Nath. For such people, the postal department has brought Ganga water in bottles and on the day of Maha Shivratri, Ganga water will be distributed by setting up stalls in all the big Shiva temples of Ambala. However, devotees of Bhole can still buy Ganga water from the post office.
Giving more information, Senior Post Pal of GPO Ambala Cantt, Harish Kumar Gumber said that there is an ancient Shiva temple in Jeene, stalls will be set up there on the day of Shivratri so that any devotee who wants to take Ganga water can offer it to Bhole. He told that apart from this, if any requirement comes then Ganga water will be sent there also.
He told that this very good scheme has been run by the government and Ganga water is being delivered to every house. He told that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about this and from now on people are coming to get Ganga water. He told that a bottle of Ganga water is being given for only Rs 30 and the price of Ganga water is not included in it, it is only the price of the bottle.
