Development and beautification of Gajraj Dam will be done as per public sentiments: Arun Sao

Raipur: Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao planted a peepal tree in a massive tree plantation program organized at Gajraj Dam in Boria Khurd, capital Raipur on Guru Purnima today. Under the massive tree plantation program, 230 saplings will be planted in different phases around the Gajraj Dam spread over 230 acres. In its second phase, in a program organized today under the chief hospitality of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and the chairmanship of MLA Moti Lal Sahu, guests and Boria residents planted 101 saplings under the ‘People for People’ campaign. MLA Moti Lal Sahu planted a banyan tree in a program organized by Boria Khurd Gajraj Dam Conservation Committee, City District Sahu Sangh, Green Army of Chhattisgarh and Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana. On the occasion of Guru Purnima, today local citizens also planted saplings in the memory and honor of their mother under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Saw said in the program that I have been watching the struggle of the people of Boria to save the Gajraj Dam for a long time. The determination of the citizens and the organizations engaged in the protection of this dam is now moving towards completion. Every possible cooperation will be provided to develop and preserve it. Gajraj Dam will be developed and beautified as per public sentiments.

MLA Moti Lal Sahu said in the program that the citizens of Boria and many organizations are working for the conservation of Gajraj Dam. We want to make it the most beautiful tourist destination of Raipur city. There is a plan to develop public facilities like amusement park, library, auditorium here.
