Bilaspur news. Ganja and narcotics seized in all the police stations of the range were destroyed in the factory located in Mohtarai on Monday morning. During this, about 2588 kg of ganja was thrown into the factory furnace. Also, about 93 thousand tablets were destroyed. ASP Archana Jha said that a range level committee has been formed to destroy the seized narcotics in cases which have been resolved by the court.
The chairman of the committee is IG Dr Sanjeev Shukla. It has SP Rajnesh Singh, Korba SP Siddharth Tiwari and Regional Environment Officer as members. He said that instructions were received to destroy the narcotics seized in 72 cases of Bilaspur district. Apart from this, the narcotics seized in 96 cases of Korba district, 37 of Janjgir-Champa, 13 of Mungeli, 35 of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 10 of Sarangarh Bilaigarh, 12 of Sakti district were to be destroyed.
On Monday, the committee destroyed the narcotics brought from all the police stations of the range in a factory located in Mohtarai. In this, 2588 kg of ganja, 367 ganja plants, 3 grams of brown sugar, 440 grams of hashish, 4 grams of MDMA, 1,271 pieces of banned syrup, 93,641 narcotic tablets and 5,638 narcotic injection ampoules were destroyed.
