Karimnagar: Voting in Karimnagar parliamentary constituency started at a slow pace on Monday morning and its pace increased by afternoon. By the time polling ended at 6 pm, the voting percentage stood at 67.67.
Till 9 am the voting percentage was 10.01. At 11 am it increased to 45.11 percent and by 3 pm it increased to 58.24 percent. Irrespective of the scorching heat, voters came out of their homes and exercised their franchise.
Election Returning Officer, District Collector Pamela Satpathy visited some polling stations and closely inspected the voting process and monitored the webcasting from time to time.
Of the seven assembly constituencies under Karimnagar Lok Sabha, the highest voting percentage was recorded in Husnabad assembly constituency at 73.63; After this, 71.26 percent voting took place in Vemulawada assembly constituency, 71.11 percent voting in Mankondur and 55.82 percent voting in Karimnagar assembly constituency.
