Deputy CM names new road in Pollachi after Arutchelvar N. Mahalingam

Tamil Nadu: Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sunday named a newly constructed road in Pollachi after Aruchelvar Na. Mahalingam.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had announced that, upon public request, the new Project Road, a major road in Pollachi, would be named Aruchelvar Na. Mahalingam Road.

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who arrived in Pollachi on Sunday, named the newly constructed road Aruchelvar Na. Mahalingam Road.

Following this, he inaugurated the bus stand constructed at a cost of approximately ₹9.83 crore in the CDC Medu area on the Pollachi-Coimbatore Road, a sub-health center constructed by the local government department at a cost of ₹72 lakh, an Anganwadi center building, a fair price shop, and a municipal extension building constructed for the use of MPs in Mahalingapuram.

Following this, he inaugurated the reconstruction work of a joint drinking water project costing ₹1.5 crore. 26 crore rupees were given to 38 rural settlements using Aliyar Dam as a source of water.

The events were attended by Minister M.P. Saminathan, A. Chakravarthy, Collector Pavan Kumar Su. Kiriappanar, CMD General Secretary Iswaran, Shakti Group Chairman M. Manickam, MLA V. Senthilbalaji, CMD State Executive Nithyanandam, Sanitation Workers Welfare Board Chairman Thippampatti Arusami, Pollachi Municipality Chairman Shyamala, DMK Executives Thalapathy Murugesan, Amudhabharathi, Navaneethakrishnan and others.
