People of Meena community told in the memorandum submitted to the Collector that the temple and fair venue of Shri Gautam Rishi, the worshipable deity of Meena community, is in Chotila village of Shivganj tehsil. During the fair, more than 5 lakh devotees of the society living in entire Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra including Sirohi, Jalore, Pali come for darshan every year.
For centuries, arrangements have been made in the Gautam Rishi temple and fair by the Panch Patels of the Meena community as per their social customs and traditions, but for the last 14 years, the places of worship of the Meena community have been illegally occupied by Uma Ram Meena, Chimna Ram. being done. The sanctity of the temple is being destroyed by continuously causing damage to the trust. He told in the memorandum that the appointment was made by the Sirohi Court only for the management of the temple and fair, but the Conservation Subdivision Officer and Chairman and other associates are using the money earned from the temple and fair for their personal purposes.
Use. Every year the entire amount is being withdrawn from the bank. Crores of rupees have been illegally withdrawn from the trust’s Punjab National Bank account in the last 14 years.
