Balodabazar. Collector Deepak Soni reviewed the availability of fertilizers and seeds in the district by holding a meeting with officials of agriculture, cooperative, marketing and other related departments on Monday. He directed to deliver the fertilizers stored in double lock to the committees soon and distribute them to the farmers.
The collector said that the fertilizers stored in double locks located in the block headquarters should be delivered to the committees soon so that the farmers can get fertilizers as per their need on time. He directed to continuously monitor the committees and Krishi Seva Kendras so that quality fertilizers and seeds are available to the farmers.
It was told that a rake of urea has been installed, out of which about 1750 metric tons have been allocated to the district. Along with this, there is a possibility of getting about 7000 metric tons of urea in the month of July. Urea 1950 MT, DAP 335 MT and SSP 1581 MT are available in double lock. As an alternative to DAP, farmers are being advised to use a mixture of half a bag of urea, 3 bags of Super SSP and 20 kg of potash. A total of 42111 metric tons of fertilizers have been stored in cooperative societies, including 20957 metric tons of urea, 6075 metric tons of DAP, 2652 metric tons of MOP, 5850 metric tons of SSP and 65777 metric tons of NPK. Out of the stored fertilizers, 38364 metric tons have been distributed so far.
