Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta received a threatening email saying that prominent people of the country will be killed. Due to this, security personnel and officials have taken notice of this issue and taken appropriate action. Speaker Vijender Gupta told the officials that he received a threatening email on Tuesday. The email stated that prominent people of the country will be killed.
The names of prominent people like Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu are included in it. Similarly, a bomb threat was also received at the Delhi Assembly and Vidhan Sabha Metro stations. Upon receiving information about this, security personnel and officials immediately conducted inspections at the Assembly and Vidhan Sabha Metro stations with bomb squads and disposable teams. The surroundings of the Assembly premises and the Metro station are being thoroughly inspected. Security has been tightened further. The entire area is being kept on high alert. However, Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht said that such threats are natural and cannot be taken lightly, which is why security has been tightened.
He said that they are not afraid of these threats and the assembly sessions are continuing as usual. BJP MLAs said that the situation is under control and there is no need to worry about security. CM Rekha Gupta also reached the assembly during the presentation of the budget in the Delhi Assembly. Officials are investigating to find out where the threatening e-mail came from.
