Decomposed bodies of a couple were found in a house in Dehradun, a 5-day-old baby was crying in the middle

Dehradun (IANS) | A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Turner Road under Clementown police station area of Dehradun. The decomposed bodies of the husband and wife were found in a room of a house on Turner Road in Clementtown area. Both the bodies were lying on the floor of the room. In the midst of this, their five-day-old newborn was crying. Blood was oozing from the noses of both the bodies. The front door of the room was found locked and the back door was locked from inside. In such a situation, the police is prima facie considering it a case of suicide. Actually this incident is of a house located at street number C 13 of Turner Road. According to the police, both the bodies have been identified as Kashif s/o Mohtashim r/o Chaloli, Nangal, Saharanpur and his wife Anam. Kashif’s JCB runs in construction work. He had married Anam a year back. He was living here on rent in the upper part of the house for four months.

Kashif’s first wife Nusrat had been calling him for several days, but meanwhile the phone got switched off on Monday. After this, he called Kashif’s partner and his brother-in-law and informed about it. On this everyone reached the police station and took the police to the house.

No one lives in the lower part of the house. When the police reached upstairs, there was a foul smell. The sound of a baby crying was coming from inside. The door next to the room was locked. Whereas, the back door was locked from inside. When the police entered inside by breaking the lattice of the door, they saw the blood-soaked bodies of Kashif and Anam lying on the floor. Worms were coming out of both the bodies. A newborn was lying in the middle. The police first picked up the newborn and took him to Doon Hospital by ambulance.

SO Clementtown Shishupal Singh Rana told that both of them were bleeding from their nose. When his body was checked, there were no injury marks. The furnishings in the room were also kept as they were. In such a situation, it seems to be a case of suicide. The forensic team has also investigated on the spot. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.

According to the police, Anam was delivered last Friday at a private hospital in Mehunwala. He had taken an acquaintance’s car to go to the hospital. In the evening he came home with the child and Anam. After this he went to leave the car with his friend. He did not have much contact with the people around him. In such a situation, no one could even know what happened inside the room.

Whereas Kashif’s first marriage took place six years ago. He also has a five-year-old son from this marriage, but a year ago he fell in love with Anam, a resident of his own village. Both agreed to marry. The families of both did not agree to this. Panchayat was also held many times on this. Finally had to get married in the presence of both the families. Now Anam’s family members had nothing to do with her. After the death of both, Kashif’s family had reached the spot, but Anam’s family did not come.
