Gaza: The number of Palestinians killed in ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 30,960 and 72,524 have been injured, the Hamas-run health ministry said in a press statement. The ministry said on Saturday that Israeli forces had killed 82 Palestinians and wounded 122 during the past 24 hours. The statement said some of the dead were buried under debris amid heavy bombardment and a shortage of civil defense and ambulance staff, Xinhua news agency reported. Palestine’s official news agency WAFA said dozens of Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes targeting several areas of the Gaza Strip since Friday night. Most of them are children and women. The report said 23 people were killed in air strikes targeting several houses in the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
