death of elephant cub

Gariaband. Elephant cub “Aghan” which was injured by potash bomb died today. Actually, the mother and herd left the cub and went away. After which the team of doctors started working to make the cub healthy. Along with this, the tractor team was also keeping an eye on the movement of the group. Preparations were on to reunite the cub with its mother as soon as it recovered. But cub “Aghan” breathed his last at 3.35 pm. Deputy Director of Udanti Sita River Sanctuary Varun Jain has confirmed this.

Let us tell you that the injured cub was left by its mother and herd. After which, for the safety of the little cub, 30 officers, workers under the leadership of Deputy Director Varun Jain, two mahouts and wildlife doctor Dr. Rakesh Verma were engaged in monitoring the cub and its movement 24 hours a day.

The mother of the elephant cub was tracked by the tractor team within a radius of 5 km. But on Friday, ‘Aghan’s’ health deteriorated. Doctors were treating the cub in Taurenga range. Cub Aghan breathed his last at 3.35 pm today.
