Dead body was hanging for seven days, people informed the police
Unnao. Several days old dead body of a young man living on rent in Adarsh Nagar locality of Gangaghat Kotwali area was found hanging in his room on Saturday. People nearby became suspicious when the foul smell started coming. On which the police was informed. Gangaghat Kotwali police reached the spot after receiving information and broke the door and found the dead body. The dog squad and forensic team reached the spot. Where the team collected evidence.
Sunil Prajapati, son of late, resident of Adarsh Nagar. Bauva Kashyap (40), son of Chhiddu, a resident of Bhajauli in Banda district, lived in the house of Govardhan Prasad with his wife and children in a rented room. People nearby told that his wife left him a month ago because he was addicted to alcohol. Hurt by his wife’s death, he committed suicide by hanging himself several days ago.
Here, when the door was not opened for several days, the neighbors became suspicious and went near the room. Where Gangaghat Kotwali police was informed about foul smell outside the room. On information, Kotwali in-charge Ramphal Prajapati reached the spot along with police personnel. He broke the door of the room. Where the body of the brother-in-law was hanging from the noose. Seeing this, there was panic among the people nearby. The inspector informed the higher officials.
Dog squad reached the spot. The forensic team also collected evidence on the spot. After which the police got the body taken down from the noose and after investigation, sent the body to the PM. In this regard, the inspector said that the dead body seemed to be about seven days old. The body has been sent to the PM. The exact cause and time of death will be known after the PM report comes.
