Maholi. The dead body of a young man who had come to visit a relative several days ago in a locality of the town in the police station area, was found today on the banks of the Kashartha river. During investigation, the youth of the town identified the deceased and said that the deceased was his cousin and was mentally ill. He was missing for two days. The police have conducted Panchnama and sent the body for post-mortem.
According to the information, Shiv Charan Sharma, resident of Dixit Tola of the town, said that Ramsare alias Chhote (50), son of Ramlotan Sharma, resident of Dalelpur village of Ramkot police station area, was mentally ill. He used to come from Dalelpur to Maholi on foot. For the last several days, he was living in Maholi and used to come to the banks of river Kushtra to graze buffaloes. Two days ago he had brought a buffalo from home.
The buffaloes reached home in the evening but they did not return. On this he expressed the fear of Ramasare going to Dalelpur. In the morning, some people saw the dead body of a young man in the bushes under the bridge near the police station and informed the police. Gradually a crowd started gathering at the spot. Shiv Charan reached the spot and identified the body. He told the police that the deceased was his aunt’s son and was also a mental patient.
Prima facie the dead body appeared to be several days old. A foul smell was also coming from the dead body. Sub Inspector Ashutosh Mishra said that the body has been sent for post mortem after Panchnama. The relatives of the deceased have been informed. There is no allegation. Further action will be ensured on the basis of PM report.
