Dead body of leopard found in the forest, died due to cold

Almora: The weather patterns have changed once again in the last week of February. Rain and snowfall continues in the hilly areas. The dead body of a leopard has been found in the forest of Railakot under Hawalbagh block of Almora. Prima facie, cold is being said to be the cause of death of the leopard. After receiving information about the incident, the Forest Department team immediately reached the spot.

Let us tell you that on Sunday, the dead body of a leopard was found lying in the forest of Railakot. Local people informed the forest department about the incident. The Forest Department reached the spot, took possession of the leopard’s body and sent it to NTD Rescue Center for post-mortem. Veterinarians have conducted post-mortem of the leopard’s body and handed it over to the Forest Department team.

According to the information received, Ranger Mohan Ram Arya said that the age of the male leopard was about 10 years. He had died two to three days ago. Prima facie, the cause of death of the leopard is believed to be due to cold. The real reasons will be known only after the PM report comes.

According to the information, Dr. Karan Gupta said that the temperature is reaching minus late at night. In such a situation, due to low immunity, wild animals suffer from pneumonia. The leopard also seems to have died due to cold. The doctors have handed over the leopard’s body to the forest department. After which the forest department destroyed the dead body by burning it.
