New Delhi (IANS) | New Zealand batting legend Ross Taylor believes veteran Australian batsman David Warner will regain his form and make it to Australia’s playing XI for the World Test Championship final against India in June.
Warner is handling the captaincy of Delhi Capitals in the 2023 season of IPL. Apart from winning the team, Warner will also insist on making a place in the Australian team.
Warner’s Test average in England is only 26.04. He recently scored only 26 runs in three innings in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. He did not play in the rest of the tour.
The ICC quoted Taylor as saying, “Davy has played a lot of cricket. He has played more than 100 Tests. If you give these players some space, they will also perform like youngsters. They have played all over the world and achieved success.” And I’m sure the Australian team will back him as well.”
“If he scores runs in the IPL and leads Delhi from the front, it will give him confidence for the WTC final and the Ashes,” he said.
