Tamil Nadu : Chennai Meteorological Department has said that a low pressure area (symbol of cyclonic storm) is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal on May 27.
The Center issued a message in this regard: A low pressure area (cyclonic storm) is likely to form in the central and adjoining northern part of the Bay of Bengal on May 27. This cyclonic storm is expected to strengthen further and move northward. If it turns into a cyclone, it will be named ‘Mantha’ as recommended by Thailand.
Heavy rain warning: Meanwhile, due to air congestion, moderate rain is likely at one or two places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal areas from Friday (May 23) to May 28.
Heavy rain is likely at one or two places in the hilly areas of Coimbatore district and Nilgiri district, especially from May 24 to May 26.
Moderate rain is likely in Chennai and Puducherry areas on May 23.
In Tamil Nadu, the maximum day temperature on Thursday was recorded at 101.12 degrees Fahrenheit in Thoothukudi and 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit in Palaikottai. On May 23, the maximum temperature in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will be 2 degrees Celsius above normal. It has been told that there will be a slight decrease in temperature from May 24 to May 26.
