Thiruvananthapuram: According to the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority, a cyclone warning has been issued for Kerala and south Tamil Nadu coast for Monday.
The alert, received from the Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), indicates possible rough sea conditions along the Kerala coast from 11.30 am to 11.30 pm on May 13, 2024. High-period (15 – 18 seconds) swell waves, whose height ranges from 0.5 to 1.2 m.
Similarly, sea condition is forecast to be rough along Tamil Nadu coast during the same period on Monday. Seas are expected to be rough due to high duration (15 – 17 second) swell waves, which range between 0.7 to 1.1 meters in height.
The agency has urged fishermen and coastal residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions in view of these rough sea conditions
