Korba. A Panipuri seller was beaten up due to business jealousy. 26-year-old Sanu Prajapati, who came to Korba’s Rampur area from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, lives with his family in a rented house and runs a Panipuri cart. Sanu, who has been living there for the last 6 months, started getting more customers in his shop, which affected the business of Pokhram Patel, who runs a dosa shop nearby. Angered by this, Pokhram not only threatened Sanu several times, but also got threats from other villagers.
The situation reached such a point that Pokhram brutally beat up Sanu, causing a fracture in his hand and serious injuries in other parts of the body. The injured Sanu has been immediately admitted to the Medical College District Hospital.
The District Hospital Chowki Police has recorded the statement of the injured Sanu. Sanu told that Pokhram was angry with the increasing customers. Apart from this, some local people were also angry with him for being an outsider. The police is investigating the matter and action is being taken against the accused.
